  I understand that every situation and every patient is different. But for my family and most importantly our dad, this was a good place for him to be. I found the entire staff to be kind, courteous and helpful. We were also there on a daily visiting our dad so they got to know our names. The nurses and Doctors always kept us informed so we were never in the dark about anything. The nurses also seemed to care which was a good thing. So I post my very first review to simply thank Kindred Hospital and its staff for all that they do. Thank you for everything.

  I'm very unsatisfied with the care this place is providing to my Father in Law since the first day. He had and open heart surgery in another hospital and because his COPD condition was transferred to this hospital, before the transfer he was alert talking to us and knowing what is going on I spoke with him the night he arrived and was fine, the next morning he was so bad confused he pulled​ his IV out no body notice, he was having anxiety when I arrived there at 9.15 am the next morning I found him completely out of it and 2 minutes after he passed out, oxygen level was too low and he wasn't hook up to the machine so they can check his oxygen, so I told them he needs to be in ICU since he just have an open heart surgery a week before and his oxygen level and heart beat needs to be controlled constantly not every 4 hours, well they put him in ICU and was on bypath for the next 2 days where he was sleeping most of the time till finaly he woke up on the 3rd day he was doing better for a couple days and they put him on the floor (the big problems started here) nurses are so careless except for 2 or 3 that are good, well nobody told us why my father in law was so bad after the first night he arrived to this place however we found out what happened, because he was having anxiety they gave him an anxiety medication that actually made him worse, now this was the first time they gave him this medication not knowing how he will react, however the next weekend they did the same thing giving him the same medication they knew this time he should not have taken​ and again he was out of it and really confused oxigen level low and in a bypath for 3 days this time (all the bad things happens on weekends and during the night where not patient's Family is allowed to stay) and also on the same weekend (Sunday Easter morning 2017 to be exact) my Father in law was found on the floor, he tried to get up and because he is so weak he felt (good thing not broken bones) I make a big complain and all what they could do is moving him to the nearest room to the nurse station, keep in mind he is 80 years old, things were good and bad since then, he is not allowed too eat or drink anything because he was aspirating some food or liquid and it was going to his lungs which can cause him pneumonia, well yesterday 4-26-2017 during the day he was so good the best we had seen​ him since he arrived here however the nurse in charge during the night shift gave him his medication orally with apple sauce (keep in mind he is on NPO nothing by mouth) when my husband called last night to find out how his Dad is doing he told the nurse he is not supposed to have anything by mouth not even water no ice chips nothing period, well this morning today my husband found his father really bad the IV was pulled again and now he is in a bypath Again with oxigen level about 90 sometimes lower ( what we think it happened is the nurse probably leaved the apple sauce in the table my Father in Law tried to reached it pulling his IV accidentally) and now he is so exausted again the reason we think that is because 2 days ago he tried to reach the apple sauce because he is hungry (remember he is in npo) and just to tried reach it his oxygen level went down, so my husband remove the apple sauce, water and everything to avoid this happen again but because we know the nurse last night gave him his pills with the apple sauce and now his IV was pulled is not to hard to figure it out what happened. This place is so terrible all the patients look bad in here, we wanted to take him to some where else but the problem is any single movement my Father in Law does it makes his oxygen level go down plus we don't know where to take him since he needs to be in a long term care facility. I just pray to God for this place don't kill my Father in Law. If you have the chance to take your love ones somewhere else do it, or not bring them here period.
